E’s Eats: Allergen Friendly Eatery

In my Interactive Design class, we were asked to create a website and menu for any type of business. I decided to design a restaurant that is allergen friendly, inspired by my own dietary restrictions (eggs, nuts, milk). I wanted to create an eatery with inclusive options for those who have life threatening allergies, vegan, lactose intolerant, or are gluten sensitive. Too often, eating out meant settling for just a plain burger or a simple salad for me, so I designed a menu with thoughtful substitutions like mushroom “steaks” or allergen friendly tofu eggs to make meals both creative and accessible without cross contamination. This project allowed me to combine personal experience with design, creating an inclusive concept that prioritizes both flavor, safety and trendiness.
